Dear Friend:

Book CoverDENZEL'S LIPS will be published on October 1, 2006 by Kensington Books. However, I am giving away advance copies to the first 500 people who request one.

The book is about Asha Mitchell, the savvy, golddigging, commitmentphobic retail executive that drove a man to suicide in the wildly popular 2005 brisk seller, The Other Side of the Game. She has married and moved to the fictional Long Island town of Hercsville. She has also quit her job as an Accessories Buyer for Macy's in Herald Square.

One night, Asha gets into a car accident. The other driver is Shareeka Ellison, wife of a gangsta rapper-turned-film producer, and a woman who hates her life among the upper crust. Shareeka is longing to go back to the Compton ghetto that she and her husband grew up in.

Asha, who married the heir to a soul food fortune, realizes that Shareeka is a fool andthat her husband (who is much richer than Asha's own) can be easily lured away. So, in true golddigger style,Asha becomes Shareeka's friend and her husband's mistress.

Penelope Brewster, Hercsville's only psychologist, despises the Ellison family. But she really loathes Shareeka's adolescent son, Crenshaw. The boy is romantically involved with Penelope's daughter, Thelma. The doctor has big dreams for her only child and they don't include life with anyone who hails from the ghetto. Penelope makes up her mind to do whatever it takes to break up their love affair.

When fellow Hercsville resident, soap opera actress, Nancy Rosa St. Bart, starts getting threatening phone calls and finding dead animals on her doorstep, a detective arrives on the scene to find out whothe sicko is before someone gets hurt. However, Nancy isn't worried. Movie star, Denzel Washington, has protected her in the past and she is counting on his help now.

DENZEL'S LIPS is a beautifully written tale of greed and madness that is impossible to put down. Please email your requests to anitadiggs@aol.com and include your full name and mailing address.

Kindest regards,
