About the WEGAB Book Club

After many years and various members, the WEGAB book club has remained the same seven members since about 2003: Helen Brooks, Julie Grace, Shari Grace, Michelle Gorham, Jan Jann, Janet Johnson and Valerie Olafson.

The Club is named "WEGAB -- We Get Around to the Book" because although the goal is to read good books, the members enjoy getting together to eat wonderful food, maybe a glass of wine, and have a good time together. The club makes an effort to read different genres of books, including fiction, true crime & mystery, biography, short stories, and science fiction. They have also enjoyed doing combination book and field trips, including combining a biography of Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis with a trip to the Field Museum in Chicago to see the Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years–Selections from the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum show, and reading Vincent & Theo before visiting the Art Institute of Chicago to see the Van Gogh and Gauguin show.
